Okay I don't know about you - but I hate when people vote for themselves in a poll. I find it rude, inconsiderate, and selfish. Therefore - no matter the circumstances - if you participated in a contest and there is a poll for judging you may NOT vote for yourself. You may vote - but not for yourself. I would strongly encourage you not to vote. If you DO vote I will be asking you who you voted for. If you do vote for yourself I will make sure your vote is not counted.

I think that is a very good rule . I try to only vote in polls where I am included ONLY when they need a tie breaker, and I do not vote for myself. However, if they didn't need a tie breaker, and I thought someone did a really good job, I will vote for them then.

There's no harm in wanting to win, but it always feels better when other people voted you into the winning seat rather than yourself
