The glitch is solved by the patch, but only for neighbourhoods after the patch!
What happens is that when the Samantha Ottomas gives birth its to twins and her husband is not the father. There are all sort of random possibilities, but none that make any sense. Its as if they wanted her to have a random affair with a male sim and somehow put except in as well. So the other parent can be a female sim or even a cat or dog. It doesn't seem to have any effect on the genetics as the twins seem perfectly normal.
How I solved it for myself was to get an adult to move out with the twins and then to let them get taken by the social worker. Letting them neglect their homework as children is the most painless. Then I got the husband to adopt them himself. This worked as they were not his children. As the parents are married the twins then show as children of both parents.
Voila! Time consuming, but worth it.
A lot of people moan about this family, but they are interesting to play.

Yeah, and the genetics aren't very kind, if you know what I mean. When Samantha gave birth to her babies in my game, the childrens' father was a brown and white bulldog. Go figure.

Later versions of the Seasons game were patched, though. My Ottomas babies were fathered by Peter, though I never did let them grow up. The family's genetics gave me the creeps the very first time I loaded them.
